Kurt Vonnegut, creatief genie

Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) was een creatief genie en publiek figuur maar ook een in het leven beschadigd privépersoon die zelfs een poging tot zelfdoding deed. Hij schreef de satire Cat's Cradle, een briljant boek dat gratis op internet te lezen is.

Vonnegut was een 'Pall Mall' kettingroker  en noemde dat een 'classy way to commit suicide'  maar hij overleed uiteindelijk aan een val op zijn hoofd.

Een man, een schrijver, met vele gezichten die zichtbaarder worden aan de hand van zijn citaten. Hieronder een kleine selectie van citaten die ik mooi vind.
